Life's paths are sometimes without any crooks
Maybe your path passes by bubbling brooks
The scenery is beautiful and the sky is clear
You are happy walking this path year after year

Then your smooth path comes to an end
There is a crossroads around the next bend
You must go ahead or take the left or the right
Your bright path has turned dark as the night

Your married path ends in death or divorce
You no longer can hear your loved one's voice
Your prosperity and health path flees away
And a poverty and illness path comes to stay

In times of these crossroads on the paths of life
When your way is filled with confusion and strife
And you need wisdom on which path to take
Turn to Jesus for goodness sake!

He will take you by the hand and lead you along
And once again you will be singing a happy song
So let your crossroads be a blessing in disguise
And call upon Jesus who gives wisdom to the wise
