Weekly Writing Challenge:

My Purpose

What is purposefulness? I believe it is what God put each individual on this earth to do, to be completed before He decides to call us home.

My purpose in life is I believe just what God has led me to do since I became a Christian. I have lived a life which I feel is a life of devotion to my family and my God. I have not always fulfilled that purpose as far as obeying Him and doing what He has called me to do. However, to the best of my ability, at the time, as far as my knowledge of Him and His ways and His will for me is concerned I have done what I felt was a life of dedication.

I have asked forgiveness for the things He has been displeased with. There will always be something more to do for Him; giving of my time and effort to Him and His word; doing for others; loving others and loving God as my Savior, Redeemer and Friend.

I would like to do a study in what and how to do the will of God. It is His will that we love Him and love each other. I try to do that to the best of my ability. It is His will that we help those in need; to help the widows and children; to give of our sustenance to the furtherance of the Gospel throughout the world. So far as is my ability to do that, I do it according to how my finances are.

I also try to write for Him. Everything I write is composed so that in some way it is glorifying to God. The poems and short stories I have written are always glorifying to God. I hope it is pleasing to Him.

This in my opinion is what purposefulness is.
