Do you want to read something really interesting? Grab your Bible and hold on to your seat! You may have read this before but this time allow it to sink in. I believe that religion has done it's very best to keep this passage out of the eyes of those who wish to follow Jesus.

If you want to remain as you are and not grow in your faith or spiritual development, please do not continue reading this letter. If you read past this paragraph you are agreeing that you are not satisfied with where you are spiritually and are open to growth and change.

Read John 17:22-23 with me. Jesus is praying to God for the believers. "I have given them the glory that you gave Me, that they may be one as We are one: I in them and You in Me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that You sent Me and have loved them even as You have loved Mme." How do you like that?! Jesus is praying that we (the believers) come to the understanding that God loves us just as He loves His Son Jesus.

How awesome is that?! I have heard people over my lifetime tell me that Jesus was able to do the things He did because He was God's son. Or that it was because God loved Him so. But Galatians 3:26, "For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. Now we can point to this verse and say that God loves us just as much as He loves Jesus! In addition, Paul wrote that there is nothing that can separate us from the love of God (Romans 8:39)

The love of God with which He loved His son Jesus is the same love He loves us with. That's why it's ludicrous to believe that God would punish us in the ways we have been told that He does for so many years. God is good (Mark 10:18, 3 John 1:11). It's equally ludicrous to believe that He would deny us anything that we ask for in Jesus' name.

I believe that God answered every one of Jesus' prayers. EVERY ONE! And Jesus said that we will ask of the Father in His (Jesus) name and He shall give it so that the Father can be praised through the Son. (John 14:12-14, 15:16, 16:23, 16:26-27)

So let's do what Jesus said we should do, and walk in Him as He walked in God. (John 17:22) Allow this scripture-Jesus' very own words- to sink down and take hold in your heart. I challenge you to meditate on it day and night (Joshua 1:8). In that way we will see the power of God everyday in our life, just like we read about His power in Jesus'.
