Luke 18:1: Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. -NIV

This is not the devotional I was going to write today (maybe you will see that one in the next few days.) I rewrote this one this morning. Why well simple because I was having a hard time uploading the original one. It took me hours and as I was trying to do it this new message came to me. So here it is.

Prayer is often the last resort of so many people we pray and pray and many times we feel as if our message isn’t heard. As if the connection between you and God is lost. As if we cannot “upload” our thoughts to him. As I was sitting here all this morning (and giving up in frustration many times to do other things) this thought occurred to me. How many times do we start praying, only to feel disconnected and then give up in frustration and try other things. We KNOW that the best way is Gods way yet after a few days weeks or months of prayer without the answer we expect, we give up. We try to look for other answers we wonder if God isn’t listening. I know I have felt this way a lot lately. Sometimes it is true and we need to listen instead of talk and then respond to that new message (like I did this morning, now afternoon) Other times it is not true and we need to keep praying, however even then we still need to listen because the answer many times comes in unexpected ways.

Gods love for you will never fail and he always answers our prayers do not give up!
