The Blue Print

There was a man named Mark Peters. Mark was a man who new many trades. Mark was a Construction worker and throughout his life in the the feild of construction he built countless amounts of beautiful sky scrapers and mansions and became very wealthy from his work. But Mark also was a liar a cheater and because of many years of running on his own will and the use of alcohol and drugs, poor Mark also became a drug addict and alcoholic.

One day, Mark found himself with no money, nowhere to live and all broke down from his addiction to drugs and alcohol. At one time, Mark thought he had everything, but now he was homeless. He could not figure out what went wrong in his life. He felt ashamed of himself. So he slept at a shelter that housed many other homeless men who were just like him. He befriended two men at the shelter,Tony and Derrick.

Tony was a crazy individual who was using and abusing drugs. He would lie, cheat and steal to support his habit. Derrick, on the other hand, was looking for a different way of life. He was sick and tired of being sick and tired.

One day, all three men woke-up and began to plan what to do for the day. Tony's plan was to go shoplifting and panhandling all for the sake of getting money for drugs and alcohol. Derrick's plan, on the other hand, was to go to a church and try and get some help for his drug and alcohol problem. Derrick made the decision to do something different.

Tony wanted Mark to go along with him and at the same time Derrick wanted Mark to go with him also.

Mark had to make a decision of what to do. So Mark said to himself, "Why should I go with Derrick to a dumb church? What can church people possibly give me? If I go with Tony I'll make some money and get high so that way I won't have to get dopesick and go through withdrawals today." Poor poor Mark made the decision to go along with Tony.

The next day, Mark woke up only to find himself sick all over again and he also realized that his good friend Derrick, never came back from church. Once again, Mark felt like he was lost and ashamed, he was very sad about his choices in life.

Three months had passed and one cold day while panhandling for money, Mark saw someone coming toward him. To his surprise, it was his friend Derrick!

"Derrick! Derrick! Mark replied, Look at you; you look like a million bucks! You look like you hit the lottery and struck it rich!"

"Hello Mark you'll never believe it, I met a very kind Man at Church that's giving people like me and you everything we ever wanted and more."

"But who? "And what exactly did you have to do to have all these things?" Mark asked.

"Come with me and I'll take you to Him." replied Derrick.

As Derrick and Mark approached their destination, Mark was so amazed and astonished at what he saw.

"Look at the size of this place and all those beautiful mansions" Mark replide with a spark of hope in his eye. "Why would a Man with all these riches, help people like us?" asked Mark.

"Just wait here Mark, I'll be right back."

Derrick went inside the biggest mansion on the estate. When Derrick came back, he had some rolled-up papers in his hands.

"Oh" Mark replied. I know what your holding, their Blueprints. That's my field of work.I know all about them!"

"Yes your so right, they are Blueprints but you don't know anything about these Blueprints. Come with me Mark, Let me show you something."

Derrick walked Mark around the back of the huge mansion and again Mark was amazed. There were hundreds and hundreds of homes, beautiful houses, some were complete and others were not, some were big and some small.

"Why are you showing me all these beautiful houses and when am I going to meet this Man, who owns all this property?" Mark asked with a lost look on his face.

Derrick walked Mark to an unfinished house and said,

"See this house Mark. Well this house is not complete yet. But when I am done building it correctly, it will be all mine and I will have the privilege to live here with the good Man that blessed me with it and this awesome chance to live here in peace and harmony."

"Blessed you with it! What do you mean?" Asked.

"Well you see, replied Derrick, these Blueprints, well one of the good Man's trusted servants gave me the same one, just like the one that I am handing on to you. The only thing He ask of you and me is that we build, work and read exactly as His plans say. And if you and me build and do exactly as the Blueprint ask, then He will let us have it freely, and we will never have to worry about any signal thing again. We can live in PEACE."

"But remember Mark and never forget, we both must build a strong and sturdy foundation as He laid down on the Blue Print, the stronger the foundation, the more stable the house."

"So dig deep Mark and obey all that He ask of you, and He will take care of you and me for ever and ever."

AND THAT WAS THE BEGINNING OF MARK'S NEW BIRTH IN CHRIST and NEW LIFE IN THE BODY of CHRIST (THE CHURCH).
