STRAIGHT INTO THE HEARTS OF MAN

From the inside out, I plan to
communicate with each individual
Neither skin nor bone, but deeper within.
Into the articulate and spiritual
design of each human being, moving past
the scars of history,
Slipping away from the pain of indifference.

Straight into the vessels that pump out life
to one's body, into the very soul
of a man, woman or child.
I will precede and introduce myself to the organ,
which calls itself a heart.

Into the wonderful and fearfully made design,
of each human being, where God Himself
offers communion and speaks to every human soul.
When I reach my course, I will not judge,
oppress, or condemn. Instead I will fight
a good fight, bring together and not divide.
Smash hatred with a heavenly sword.

My own branded weapons will be a smile,
a hug, spontaneous laughter and a gentle persuasion.
While there, bestowing the righteous gifts of
lovingkindness, peace, forgiveness and joy.
Leaving those gifts resting in the center of their heart.
A colorful trail of faith and goodness will be left behind.
A legacy of love and hope for today, tomorrow and always.
