Speak out of turn,
Scream my name,
Longing for you, I curse in vain.

Beneath my skin, it deeply resides
Trying to crawl out, waiting to strike
Poured over my wounds, like fire you burn

It is my home for which I strongly yearn
Craziness and mayhem I apparently crave
Seeking out sanity in the form of a slave

A safety net I find, on the edge of my life
Countering attack, fighting back,
Struggling to gain control of my mind.

Catch me again, Oh Lord, hear my plea
A sound mind in which I can see
Your truth, your love, your glory and peace.
It is your grace that captivates me.
