My Precious Child,

Do you know that I love you? I love you in ways you never even knew were possible. I loved you from the time you were being formed in your mother’s womb. I loved you even before that time. You are so very, very precious and I want you to know that I desire a real relationship with you.

I know that you become discouraged from time to time. I know that you even doubt my existence. I assure you, I am real. I am there, walking every step with you when you feel burdened with life…but only when you let me.

I want to speak with you. I want some time with just you and I, in conversation. I want you to tell me about your day; the struggles you faced, the sadness you encountered and the things that made you laugh. I want to know you. I want you to know me.

I tell you, though you may not desire that conversation right now, I do know you. I know you from afar. It may be a one sided relationship at present, but I know you.

I’m standing right before you at this moment, and I can see and hear your thoughts. I see your past and all the mistakes you’ve made. I see the hurts that others have caused you. I see the hurts you’ve caused for yourself. I’ve also seen those times of absolute joy, the moments you were glowing with excitement. I want you to know that I can also see you on your last day here on Earth.

I know your whole life.

And so I ask you, will you let me in? Will you let me love you in a perfect way, a way that you’ve never known before? I want to show you what real love is. Real love never gives up. I will not give up on you. Real love cares more for others than for oneself. I love and care for you so much more than myself. Real love is not jealous, selfish or easily angered. It doesn’t keep record of the wrongs of others. Real love forgives. I am real love.

And so you may ask, “but will I have to give up the lifestyle I’ve chosen to live, if I’m to know you?” My child, if you decide that you want to know me, really know me, I promise you this. The closer you come to me, the more you will desire to leave your old lifestyle behind. I won’t mislead you, you are human and it’s likely that some days you will desire nothing more than to run back to the temporary highs the world can offer you. What I offer you is forever. By coming to me, you will realise the difference between worldly satisfactions and eternal blessings. Trust me with this. I know what is best.

If you read this and feel that you want to know me, all you need to do is ask. Realise your mistakes, accept responsibility for them and ask me to cleanse you of them. My son died and was resurrected so that I can rub away the sin that would normally keep me from having a personal relationship with you. In fact, if you don’t know me at the moment, I have to tell you that your wrongs are like the colour of scarlet…I see them so clearly. Ask me to rid you of those, and I will see you as white as snow, so perfect and pure. I leave this choice with you.
