All you women of God:
Should ever a man tell you to know your place, then, by all means, KNOW your place. It is a place of value that is far above that of rubies. Let no harsh word take root in you and rob you of that truth.
On the other hand, respect your man. Give him even more respect than you think is due him. He is, after all, your covering. Encourage him and he will rise up to be a strong tower for you, a strong tower in the likeness of God.
As for you who are divorced:
It is true; God hates divorce. Yet, He granted Israel a divorce because she was an adulteress. (Jer. 3:8) How painful that must have been for a God who hates divorce. He hates it because it tears families apart. It is the bond of family that He hates seeing torn.
On the other hand, the Son of God laid His life down for you. There is no greater love than that. Never let the religious, self righteous opinion of another convince you that God, who hates divorce, would expect you to remain married to a man who hurts you, physically, mentally, emotionally, or otherwise. It is one thing to remain married to a man who doesn’t know Christ so that he might see Him shining in you. It is an entirely different thing to stay in an abusive relationship simply because religiously opinionated people point their fingers at you.
You STILL, though divorced have a place of value that is far above rubies. Rise above the ashes and KNOW your place.
