The luminous scarlet color
of His blood,
Trickles from His beaten
face;
It escapes from His body -
DRIP - DRIP - DRIP -
Streaming to the ground
below.
The glistening redness
of the Blood
Covers His hands and feet
that the nails
Had penetrated through to the cross.
It covered His side pierced
by the sharpness
Of a sword driven
by sin.
Then the world became dark
just to give to us
The Light.
