Something Better Than Moonbeams

Though, thus far, you've held the stars
with nothing more than your eyes,
when hope deferred near breaks your heart,
Love will catch you by surprise.

Don't give up and don't give in
and don't lean on your own thoughts.
Hope for more than just the moonbeams.
Hope for stars that can't be bought.

For my God's thoughts toward you
are much greater than your own.
Don't reach for stars of vanity.
You'll only reap what you've sown.

So, put your desires back
into the hands from which they came.
Know there's an emerald star out there
and it'll one day bear your name.

Proverbs 13:12
Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.

deferred (adj.) Postponed or delayed: deferred gratification; deferred military draft.
deferred (adj.) Withheld until a future date: deferred benefits; a deferred payment.

Don't give up now! Those things you hope for are only "deferred." That doesn't mean they're not already manifested in the spirit. They were manifested in the spirit the very second you asked for them. In fact, God knows what your heart's desires are before you ever ask. He knows them even better than you do. And it's His good pleasure to bless you.

Patience... The Lord's timing is perfect! And if He postponed those things, you can be sure there is very good reason for it! Perhaps, rather than putting together the things you hope for, He is preparing you to receive the things you hope for.
