In The Spirit

When I’m walking in the Spirit
And listening for My Lord
His words come down like soft rain
That still small voice is ever so clear
As He makes poetry again and again…..

His love envelops me and gives
Such sweet inspiration in rhyme
Til’ I can’t write His words fast enough
Such joy He bestows to take pen to paper
And testify of His glorious love

Julia, How I love this poem! I agree with Tom... the line, "As He makes poetry again and again," is a wonderful line. I heard something a long while back that I think you will enjoy. A preacher was speaking from Eph. 2:10 and said that the Greek word translated workmanship is actually "poiema." This is the word from which we get our word poetry! So he said the verse is saying "We are His poetry." Isn't that lovely? Write on!

Wonderful write. Is there a better feeling than knowing that God is inspiring us to write? I have had it happen many times when my pen could not keep up with my inspiration. I loved this. You are using you’re talents and gifts in a wonderful way.
