Isaiah 40:31 KJV - But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.


One Day

Today when I sang Amazing Grace
Giant teardrops fell from my eyes.
I wanted to see Jesus, face to face
I was ready to take up to the skies!

Time on earth can be a burdensome chore
Aches and pains and troubles I bear.
I find myself getting a little homesick
For that bright city without any care.

Heaven, they say will be so glorious
And one day that’s where I want to be.
I can hardly wait to see my dear Daddy,
And friends and family gone on before me.

One day my strength shall be renewed
The Lord promised it in His word.
But I must wait on the acceptable time
To take up my flight like a bird.

One day I shall mount up with the wings
As eagles, I shall run and not grow weary.
The joy of that hope within my soul
Some days can get me quite teary.

One day I shall walk and never once faint
One day my pilgrimage here will be done.
One day the angels will take me on home
To live with my Savior, God’s one and only Son…..
