My rose is gently fading, gently kissing my forehead

my wave is gently dying, gently tugging at my leg

rain drops faster & then slowly as I behold them...

my wave carries my rose away... tears burn as I watch beatuy fade away...

like the last bit of green in the winter storm...

The sky is dark & cloudy, the air feels heavy upon me

like that of sandbags.

farther & farther it sails away...

red in an ocean of blue..

the rose slowly breaks apart... first the pedals... each one sorefully departing the home

they stay afloat for only a few seconds,

few enough to make a lasting impact...

like a sunflower glowing in the darkness.

the stem floats on, no more red, no more wings, no more a rose.. just a stem

inside dying slowly, dark spots spread throughout the veins turning this once proud green into a hopeless dying brown

waves gently tug me out to sea to join my rose
