What count's most the Salvation of the Lord God Almighty OR the counting of the exact day, date, year and time of Messiah’s return??

In the perilous times such as these, when the end time biblical prophecies are getting fulfilled in our generation before our own eyes; many "Christians, Believers, Theologians, Research Scholars and sceptics" are busy these days counting the exact day, time, month, year and season of the eminent return of Our Lord and Saviour Christ Jesus. Today we as a Church and the entire human race are more interested to know what the future hold's for us but how easily we tend to surpass and deliberately try and forget the "Amazing Grace" of our Lord God Almighty that He has revealed unto us in these last days as it is noted in Paul’s letter to Titus, “For God has revealed his grace for the Salvation of all mankind That Grace instructs us to give up ungodly living and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in this world, as we wait for the blessed day we hope for, when the glory of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ will appear.” (Titus 2: 11)

The Grace for the Salvation for all mankind is now available for all of us because our Heavenly Father have sacrificed His one and only begotten Son Christ Jesus. Bible declares that, “It was the costly sacrifice of Christ, who was like a lamb without defect or flaw. He had been chosen by God before the creation of the world and was revealed in these last days for your sake. Through Him you believe in God, who raised him from death and gave him glory; and so your faith and hope are fixed in God.” (1Peter 1: 19-21) But today rather then accepting the Grace of God, we the Church are trying to immensely focus on the dates and exact timing of “Second Coming of Jesus Christ” or when shall His Kingdom come?? . Even in the time of Jesus Christ’s ministry, there were people who were always interested in demanding a sign, wonder or a miracle and knowing the future events and exact times and season of His Second coming. But to them Christ answered,” Hypocrites! You can look at the earth and the sky and predict the weather; why, then, don’t you know the meaning of this present time? (Luke 12: 56). As in those days people were busy counting and predicting the dates and times about the coming of the Messiah and Him reigning as the King of Jews, so in these last days the Church has been astrayed by the very thought of when Christ will come and what are the exact day, date, year, time and season, when Jesus Christ will reign as Eternal King!!!

Jesus Christ has never asked us to count the exact day, date and times of His eminent return rather He has asked us to be “Watchful”. If we diligently read the Gospel, Christ has given us the “Signs & Events” that shall happen before the day of His Coming. Jesus Christ himself has spoken that “No one knows, however, when that day and hour will come- neither the angels in the heaven nor the Son; the Father alone knows.” (Matthew 24:36- 37) Many so- called preachers and research scholars in these days are busy counting the exact time of eminent return of Christ Jesus, but they forget that Our Lord is Lord of Eternity. “For there is no difference in Lord’s sight between one day and a thousand years; to him the two are the same.” (1 John 3: 8)


Today we as Church have to concentrate more upon the “Great Commission” that the Lord of Our Salvation Christ Jesus has commissioned unto us- that is “Go, then, to all peoples everywhere and make them my disciples; baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit and teach them to obey everything I have commanded you. And I will be with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28: 19- 20) And along with the sharing of the Gospel of the Kingdom of God as Lord has commissioned unto us, it’s our moral responsibility to tell the people about the “Second Coming” of our Lord and Saviour Christ Jesus. And as we tell them about the “Second Coming” of Christ Jesus, we must also tell them what our Lord wants from us, as Christ told to His disciples in the parable of “Faithful & Unfaithful Servant” (Matthew 24: 45- 51)


Paul writes to the church in Thessalonians, “For you yourselves know very well that the Day of the Lord will come as thief comes at night. When people say, “Everything is quiet and safe,” then suddenly destruction will hit them! It will come as suddenly as the pains that come upon a woman in labour, and people will not escape. But, you, brothers are not in darkness, and the Day should not take you by surprise like a thief. All of you are people who belong to the light, who belong to the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. So then we should not be sleeping like others; we should be awake and sober. We must wear faith and love as a breastplate and our hope of Salvation as a helmet. God did not choose us to suffer his anger, but to possess Salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us in order that we might live together with him, whether we are alive or dead when he comes. So encourage one another and help one another, just as you are now doing.” (1 Thessalonians 5)

Beloved ones, be on your guard against every such preacher, scholar and men of God who counts and teaches the exact time, date and return of Christ Jesus, for the Lord Jesus himself has told that , “ The times and occasions are set by my Father’s own authority, and it is not for you to know when they will be.” (Acts 1: 7) And in the verse 8 of Acts 1 Jesus gives a better way out to the disciples that is, “ But when the Holy Spirit will come upon you, you will be filled with the power, and you will be witnesses for me in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” So as Jesus told His disciples to become His witnesses to the end of the earth, sharing the Gospel of the Kingdom of God, so He wants us “this generation” to do the same.

Friends I am not against the preaching of the Second Coming of Christ Jesus, but I am surely against those people who astray the new-born believers by engaging them in counting and knowing the exact day and hour of coming of Our Lord- as it is totally against the preaching and teaching of Lord Jesus Christ, for we have a “Great Commission” before us and we all are been called to witness the Grace of our Lord God Almighty that He has revealed unto us in these end times by the coming of our Lord and Saviour Christ Jesus, who came into the world to save sinners and He has promised ,”I am coming soon! I will bring my rewards with me, to give to each one according to what he has done. I am the first and the last, the beginning and the end.” (Revelation 22: 12-13)

Remembers friends, that only if we are born-again and are saved by His Grace and Faith, then we have the promise of Eternal Life and have a part in Second Coming of Christ Jesus, so let us concentrate more upon the Salvation of the Lord God Almighty and not by counting the exact day and hour of the Lord’s coming.

So Beloved ones let us be “Watchful, diligent, patient, sober, persevering, faithful, self-controlled, loving and peaceful, humble & meek as we await the “ Second Coming “ of our Lord and Saviour Christ Jesus, for the scripture says,” Just a little while longer, and He who is coming will come; he will not delay. My righteous people, however, will believe and live; but if any of them turns back I will not be pleased with him.” (Hebrews 10: 37- 38)
