Sandy came through the thick, grey fog feeling uncertain. It felt cold, dark and damp and her surroundings were unfamiliar. Sandy felt all alone, lost and scared as she bumped into things trying to make her way through the valley. She couldn’t remember how she lost her way or why her focus strayed from her guide. Sandy refused to give up and remain in the dark. She persevered forward trying desperately to find the path she once knew so familiarly. All of a sudden, weary from panic and fear, Sandy came to a clearing. She had made her way through the valley and was on the path that led to a lush meadow filled with beautiful wild flowers. A gentle steam was just ahead in the distance and the sounds of birds singing filled the air. She was back on the path, once again at the place in the journey where she longed to be. She was right where she belonged, in the shadow of the Guide, following hard after Him. He was right where he had always been, only Sandy’s focus had strayed and was fixed upon her surroundings and circumstances. He had been there all of the time, waiting for her to rely upon His guidance and strength. Now, she could see clearly, what was so cloudy and blurred before. She felt a new sense of vision and freedom from fear. She knew that she would never, ever have to walk the path alone. Her gentle guide was along for the entire journey. He was there to rescue her, lead her and needed only Sandy’s reliance. He is her Source of peace and security and in Him, she was anchored and steadfast. Sandy ran ahead into the meadow enjoying all of the abundant blessings that she had missed before.

It’s easy to loose our focus; the thorns of life cause us to look every way at times but the right way. I’m so happy that it is God holding on to me with a much firmer grip than I can hold on to Him. I’ve stood in the shoes that Sandy stood in. Loosing my way without intent until God straitened my path that had became crooked. A wonderful message relayed in this Mitzi. It’s inspiring.

She would have missed so much what was ahead of her. He has so much for each of us and to perserve on as Sandy did. He is our source of Peace and our Anchor.
Perserve! May the Lord continue to bless you. Arlene

There is this "Sandy" in each of us at one time or another. But as children of God, He's always there to show us the right way, and after the valleys and dark clouds, He guides us to the right direction-back to His heart. Thank you Mitzi for this godly insight, and for your obedience to His leading. Love in Christ, Gloria

Mitzi,

Such words to sooth the ache within my own soul. Straying off course, and still needing to realize that my Guide is ever-present ensuring the safety, even if the feeling of security is absent from my journey. I thank God He directed me to your pathway of encouragement. YSIC, Nancy

Beautifully done Sis. He will never leave us nor forsake us, but when we begin to lean to our own understanding and get our focus off of Him, the path becomes rocky and treacherous and fear begins to grip us. You portrayed this in a very clear way. Love, Sharon
