New Day
Looking out my window I now can see
A flourishing earth in all her beauty.
Scents of the sea are carried on a breeze
Hungry birds wait for their mothers in tall trees.
A new day dawns bringing her surprise
Delights to appreciate under deep blue skies.
Emerging life awakens across this land
Singing praises to God for all He has planned.
Weeping willows sway early in the day
While fox is prowling in the dunes on the bay.
Sunrays stretch to wherever they please
Calling attention to the soft white lilies.
I step outside for a breath of fresh air
Sensing Your presence, knowing You’re there.
Peace enters my soul as I kneel to pray
Trusting in the Hands that created this day.
