Foolish Man

O what a mess we make of our lives when we try to travel this road of life alone.

At times we leave Thee behind O Lord, blindly make decisions that leave us devasted from time to time.

We try many ways to solve our problems without involving God or Jesus Christ and as a result we fall on our face.

Then and only then do we look for someone to help us, even then we often get help form those who are worse off than we.

Satan gloats because he has been able to lead us astray and has kept us from our Savior's side.

In desperation we finally turn to a power higher than our own, we pour our hearts out in prayer to God, not knowing quite what to say and yet we expect results before the end of the day.

O yes, God hears our prayers, but sometimes the answer will be "No", this confuses us and we bow our head and pray some more.

Praying is what we are called to do, but unless the prayer comes from the heart it is like blowing in the wind, it goes no where nor can it bring comfort to our soul.

Prayers from the lips of man avail nothing, prayers from the heart brings comfort and this in itself can see us through.

Man is foolish in many of his ways, but never so foolish as when he thinks that he does not need God in his life, without God, man can do nothing, but with God man can accomplish all things.

Be vigilant in your prayer life, let not Satan lead you astray, he is deceitful in all of his ways and will do his best to keep you from the prayer life that God wants you to have.
