Life is about choices, the signposts of our lives

Have you ever come to a junction of several freeways, perhaps in an unfamiliar area, and wondered which way to go now? If you choose the wrong road, you will end up in a place you’ve possibly never heard of.. However, if you choose the right road, you will reach your destination as planned.
Life also has choices for us to make. Will I be friendly or withdrawn? Will I have a life of integrity or falseness? What standard shall I choose to guide my life? We can choose to be lonely, afraid, unforgiving, controlling, vindictive, compassionate, encouraging, nujrturing, complimentary, and humorous—among so many others.
Regarding the issues of our day: homosexuality, abortion, deprivation, contemporary relationships, etc., we choose what to believe and have to live with those choices—for better or worse.
As our society loses its direction of what is right and wrong, where do you turn for answers? Do you decide by what your parents taught you, your peers believe, or some other source?
Are you looking for a relationship with God, or just somewhere to go on Sunday morning that looks good to outsiders? Do you want Him to get involved in your life to help you, or is it strictly “hands off”?
When you have a problem with your car, you turn to the owner’s manual first. When your computer does something strange, you may consult the handbook to find out what is happening. Whether you believe it or not, God has an answer book for our lives if we will use it—the Bible. When we choose to seek His answers for life’s many questions, we will be blessed. If you choose some other way, consequences follow, just like turning on the wrong freeway.
God has his signposts on the highway of our lives. The problem is, there are many other signs that beckon us also. The choice is up to you which answers you will seek and find. God’s answers are waiting for your discovery, if you want them.
