On October 29, 2002 we were having a prayer meeting in my flat/ apartment. At that time I could feel heat emitting from my right hand when I placed it about 1 inch from someone' s body. When I did this with a certain lady called J she fell backwards on to a sofa, started to yawn and cry out. The spirit of fear was commanded to come out and later she reported that she felt she was free from this oppression.

At other times when I have prayed for somebody I felt heat at the interface between my hand and the other person's body.

When this happens if I say you can feel God' s presence ... the person replies, " I can feel heat in my shoulder, all over my body or sometimes just in my feet " ... when for example I have my hand on their shoulder!
Some other experiences along these lines are found below in the section, “Some Testimonies From My Journal – Virtue Flowing. “

The theory behind this experience, I believe, is found in verses such as:-
Luke 6: 19 And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all.
Luke 8: 46 And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.

Virtue in the Greek is dunamis* and translated in the RSV as power.

a. inherent power, power residing in a thing by virtue of its nature, or which a person or thing exerts and puts forth
b. power for performing miracles
c. moral power and excellence of soul
d. the power and influence which belong to riches and wealth
e. power and resources arising from numbers
f. power consisting in or resting upon armies, forces, hosts

It is interesting to note that dunamis is translated as miracles in Acts 19:11
Acts 19: 11, 12 And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:
So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.

Also of note these miracles in the Book of Acts seem to be similar to what Jesus was doing. In the Gospels sick people were attempting to touch the hem of His garment. In the case of Paul handkerchiefs or aprons were been used to transmit dunamis or God’ s power.

1999 October 9

Heat At The Interface - Aaron
Went to a food and fellowship night at a Pentecostal church and sat at a table with a young man called Aaron. After the meal I prayed the sinners' prayer with Aaron and then prayed other items for him. I held his right hand and afterwards he told me he could feel the ' heat ' coming from my hand into his own.

Subsequently prayed with several other people and similar manifestations have happened ... I can feel heat at the interface of my hand and their body. I have had my hand on their shoulder and some have said they feel the heat in their belly... GLORY TO GOD!

2000 April 16

Heat At The Interface - Ian, Gordon
Prayed for a backslider called Ian and he could feel the heat in his chest whilst I prayed for him with my hand on his shoulder.

Later I prayed for 2 other Christians at different times and while I prayed for them they could feel the heat in their hands ( without the laying on of my hands ).

On June 13, 2000 I prayed for a man called Gordon on New Street, Birmingham. He told me he had trouble with something on the top of his head and down the side of his face. During prayer I placed my left hand on the top of his head and felt heat between the interface of my hand and his head. I said to him, " Do you feel the heat? " His reply was, " Yes, and the thing that was on my head has slipped down to my shoulders! " I then laid my hands on his shoulder and commanded the demon to leave and not return. His face lit up and he gave me a hug and he went on his way!
