I just don't understand this world.... I just don't understand people! haha... I don't understand myself alot.

When you're mad at someone what do you usually do? Do you tell them straight up? Or do you hold inside and fake like all is well with you. Do you give up on that person and just hate them forever?

I am finding myself in this place. No I don't hate anyone and No I'm not holding anything against anyone but I don't understand why people can't let things go. "The scars might never heal but you are only making it worse if you keep pickin' at it..." And I understand... I really do! People can get to us, people can hurt us. People can kick us when we are down the most but we are called to higher
place. "Forgive and Forget kids..." Thats what
they taught us in kindergarden... but I'm starting to wonder if we all need a fresh start in that course.

Now I'm not saying that I've never done that and that I will never do it again... because I have. I have held feelings against someone before... and I've hated people with all my heart before. But let me ask you something...
Honestly do you feel good when you are doing that? When you get back at that person do you feel all warm and fuzzy inside? I never did... I always felt worse each day I keep all that stuff inside me. What does that show?
That there is no point in holding your feelings against someone...

Second: Isn't one of the key points in the Bible is to "forgive and forget"? "Well I'm only human..." pssh... I think we use that as a cop out too much! Jesus was human and he found a way to forgive all of mankind.
He showed us a way! "Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you."
Colossians 3:13.

Another thing: Let the past be the past! Why bring up dead history? If the person has said they're sorry about what they did then you are supposed to "forgive and forget" Why keep picking at the scar until it bleeds again? That's just trying to cause another fight.

One of my favorite verses in the Bible is this one: "One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: "Aren't you the Christ? Save yourself and us!" But the other criminal rebuked him. "Don't you fear God," he said,
"since you are under the same sentence? We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. BUT THIS MAN HAS DONE NOTHING WRONG." -Luke 23:39-41

He took the pain and forgive us in the
process... The people who were there during his last hours mocked him and yelled at him... And he forgive them! So are you holding something against someone? Do they even know that
they've upset you? Sometimes people don't even know... But let them know! Not in anger! But let them know that you've been upset with what they've done or said... And if they say they're sorry... let it be. Let it die with history.
