A Paradigm Shift

An epiphany came so swift
With it, a paradigm shift
Big words used to describe
the profound that has arrived

I have thought so wrongly
About what I felt strongly
From the Old Testament days
Frustrated by all their ways

God visible before their eyes
They still had rebellious cries
Here, a kicker to that thought
there is more to this plot

I used to say the word "When"
Describing God way back then
But it is me don't you see
the blind one, it is me

God is just as visible this day
I even in past had that to say
But my own words did not show
All along, the truth I didn't know

I said it often, but did not see
that God is seen in front of me
His beauty and His splendor in view
It is in everything, this is true

I may not see columns of smoke and fire
but He is there on the ground and higher
In every single sunrise and sunset
In all the animals, the entire set

I'm sorry, My Lord, it took so long
To see just how much I've been wrong
I looked and looked but did not see
all along You have been with me.


Brothers and Sisters,
I've been caught up in my own hypocrisy. I have grumbled on and on about the Old Testament Israel rebellion in view of all the wonders of God. Yes, it was revealed to me that I was just the same as them. However, reviewing some of my poems, the Lord revealed to me that I talked about how visible God was to them (kind of like saying, not visible today). Then it hit me, I was saying just that, God is not as visible to us today as He was to them, but that is just so blatantly wrong. So, first to God I must apologize. Lord, help me in my unbelief. Second, to my friends here and abroad, I apologize for my limited view.

May this lesson be a preventive measure to all who read it. God is visible...in EVERYTHING. Worship God with all your heart, soul, and mind. God bless you.
