Shiloh, my One, I give You praise,
In the midst of this fatal smoke;
Your pawn, the dark, begins his gaze;
As I feel myself to choke;
Stricken; fallen, in this misery;
Lucifer laughs with macabre glee;

But in the dark, I look to light,
Hearing the lie, with truth I fight;
I, by grace, have Your word;
With Your Spirit; He to teach;
You, by Your will, have I heard;
With given faith, I make my reach;

So, my God, be my mercy;
Confuse the dark, and grant me grace;
I’m one of many, who’s clung to Your tree;
You alone is all my race;
As You have washed away the leaven,
You make my hell to become heaven;

And so to You, I draw e’er near,
Knowing You will always hear;
You keep myself to Your own heart,
Along with all that You have planned;
You show the love that will not part,
For I have seen in Your command…
