TEN COMMANDMENT ISSUES

It is said that 86% of Americans believe in God. Then, why is it so hard to understand why there is a problem having the Ten Commandments on display, or having ‘In God We Trust’ on our money, or having ‘nation under God’ in the Pledge of Allegiance?

It's very sad that today people are trying to destroy the very thing that made our country great. We were founded on biblical principles, we proudly displayed them and lived by them. The Bible says God will bless those who honor Him and will curse those who dishonor Him.

Psalm 33:12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.

Psalm 103:17,18 The mercy of the Lord will be for those who fear Him and keep His commandments.

Today, we as a nation are quickly removing from public the Ten Commandments, prayer in schools, a "nation under God", all mention of Jesus and we are even declaring all of or portions of the Bible as hate literature. All this and many other things are clearly foretold in Bible prophecy. It will get much worse. People don't know or believe who they are messing with here. We are talking about the Almighty God who created all things, the giver of all life and breath, the One who holds the seven seas in the palm of His hand and the One who is coming soon as King of Kings and Lord of Lords to judge and destroy all evil. We have abandoned Him and will lose His cloak of protection that made us a great nation. We are rejecting our only hope for eternity.

Deut. 8:19,20 Whoever forgets God will be destroyed; all nations must obey.

Psalm 50:22 Whoever forgets God will be torn into pieces.

Mal. 2:2 God's judgment will fall on those who do not honor Him.

Rom. 1:28 God will abandon those who refuse to retain the knowledge of Him.

By the way, our country is not found anywhere in biblical end time prophecy. Can you imagine any situation in major world conflict where we would not be involved in some way? The Bible is very clear about who the major players will be and we're not one of them. The most logical answer is that we will either be destroyed, or beaten down into a third world non-power, or the rapture of the church will cause internal devastation.

Since there are 86% claiming to believe in God, then how could things such as removal of the Ten Commandments be happening? The answer is simple. Most of those 86% might believe in the existence of a God, but very few TRULY KNOW Him. There is a major difference.

Matt. 7:21-23 Not all who claim to know God will enter Heaven; He'll say "I never knew you".

Matt. 7:14 Narrow is the way that leads to life and few will find it.
(86% is not a few!)

James 2:19 Even the demons believe and they tremble.

Rev. 3:15,16 Regarding the apostate, lukewarm churches, God will spew them
out of His mouth.

2 Cor. 4:4 Worldly gods of Satan blind the mind of unbelievers.

2 Tim. 4:3,4 Men will turn away from sound doctrine; they will hear what they want to hear.

The Godly principles being destroyed or removed today are being replaced by a politically correct, non-offensive mentality. The replacements include: sexual immorality; homosexuality; many roads lead to Heaven; a loving God that wouldn't judge; don't mention salvation only thru Jesus; destruction of marriage as God intended; all good people go to Heaven; watered down versions of the Bible; easy believe-ism; no true repentance for sin; churches preaching warm, fuzzy, feel good sermons; cults; new age beliefs and many more.

Psalm 12:6 Word of God is flawless.

Psalm 119:160 God's words are true and will endure forever.

Matt. 24:35 God's word is forever.

2 Pet. 1:20,21 All scripture came from God.

Satan is alive and very much at work in the world trying to destroy God. Most people will be deceived and will believe his lies. If we don't think that it's happening today and getting worse very quickly, then we have probably already been deceived.

If we aren’t:

*Always mindful of the things of God.

*Anxiously watching and waiting for His return.

*Talking to Him in prayer daily.

*Studying our Bible daily.

*Regularly attending a Bible preaching church.

*Finding the time or desire for some of the above.

Then, Satan has already deceived us into believing his biggest lie - that we don’t need God.
