Conditioned on Nothing
Your love surrounds me
It's unknown to me
I've done nothing to recieve it
Nothing to keep it
Nothing to sustain it
You simply love me
I live in a world
Where love is taken back
as easily as it's given
but your love for me
is always constant
It never requires anything
If I ignore it
it's still there
If I leave it
when I return
It's even better than before
Your love warms my mind
seeps into my heart
and rest in the billows of my soul
Your love is incomprehensible to me
I can't understand it
I want to mimic it
But I'm flawed
Even when I hurt you
Your love sweeps me up
In arms that never loosen its grip
I want my small mind to comprehend
Living in this world the way it is
I've never seen a love like this
It's a joy I can't capture in a smile
a release I can't exhale in a breath
a song hummed in assured silence
It engulfs the most insignificant parts of me
For this, my humility is shamed in it's content
of who YOU are and why YOU have chosen me
Lord I love You
My praise seems unworthy because of who you are
Yet will I lift my hands
My voice
My heart, my soul...in my smallness will I continually praise You...yes I Love You, yes I love You

"Unkown" s/b "unknown"; in the line: In arms that never loosen it's grip - should read "their grip" for tense agreement. Is the last line my heart instead of my hear? Truly I do like this very much because it speaks simply of His love for us.
