Encouragement

Have you actually experienced the dream that you have had in your heart? I am asking you that question because it is very important to God and you and to every other person on the face of this planet. You see, my friend, no one else can be who God called you to be and do what God has called you to do.

We hear so much said about how much we need the Lord. That is very true. He is our Source of Life. He is our Shepherd and each one of is a sheep. He is our Father. Each one of us is His son or daughter if we are new creations in Christ Jesus. He is the potter and we are the clay. He is the architect and we are His buildings. Without Him we can do nothing, but through Him we can do all things.

Have you ever thought about how much God needs you? He does need you. Without the Lord you cannot. But without you, He will not. He has limited Himself to the Body of Christ on this earth. He does not use the trees or any other plant or animal to live in. He lives in people who have asked Him to take up residence in their lives. Are you one of them? If you are, then you are chosen by Him to be part of His hands extended to this hurting world.

Let me tell you something about the dream that is in your heart by sharing with you the dream that is in my heart. I have had this dream for 34 years. I have seen glimpses of this dream off and on during the past 34 years. But on February 27, 2006, I finally realized that this dream will be fulfilled.

I will fulfill the ministry that God has called me to do. It is an impossible task without Him. I know that He will do it through me because it is His plan.

How can you know if the dream in your heart was placed there by God? The main way is that it will not die. It will keep rising up in you. People may try to kill it. Demons may try to kill it. Circumstances may try to erase it. Time may try to wear it out. Discouragement will bring doubt and pain. Everything will try to destroy it except the One who placed that dream in your heart.

If you have a dream from God in your heart, please do not give up on it. God wants to use you to fulfill His purpose on the earth. I have learned some ways for God to fulfill His purpose in me that may help you:

1) Trust Him. Do not lean on your own understanding. Acknowledge Him in every decision and He will direct your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

2) Humble yourself under the mighty hand of God that He may exalt you in due time. Cast all of your care upon Him. (1 Peter 5:6-7)

3) Submit yourself to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. (James 4:7)

4) Walk in love and keep your heart pure. (Ephesians 5:2)

5) Seek Jesus in the Word of God with the goal of being transformed into His image in ever increasing splendor. (2 Corinthians 3:18)

The Lord wants to use you. All you must do is let Him work for you, in you and through you and you will see His dream come true!
