Where You, Lord, Your Spirit dwells;
Then truth has its part;
For in the flesh, I can’t muster
Praise to You, for Your ways,
To glory You, with many days,
Worthy of Your holy luster;

Chorus:
For such things are all of You,
By the Spirit; by the Word;
And by such, my praise is true;
You inhabit, for You’ve heard;

Verse 2:
And if I could sing a song to You,
Then inspire it with Your holy Word;
Then my praise is as Your due;
Your glory is all that is heart;

If I could serve You, Lord and Master;
Then Spirit-empower; Christ conform,
For this delight, is what You’re after;
For kingdom work, this is the norm;

Bridge:
You seek those, whose worship’s true;
Borne of God; source divine;
And truly, I’m borne of You;
I am Yours, and You are mine;
I only give such, which is Your fruit;
Solely, in such, You are pleased;
Fleshly things, then, should be left mute,
For in Jesus, You are appeased;

Author's Note: I believe the Lord is only pleased in things that are initiated by Him, be it our worship in obedience, or worship in song. All things of the flesh are contrary to His plan; not conforming to His Son.

For that, I write this song, believed to be generated by His Spirit and His Word.

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship.”—Romans 12:1 (NIV)

“…the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.”—Galatians 5:22-25
