There’s no growing old in God’s family
How nice that sounds!
I’ll always be His little girl
Running to Him with my pigtails flapping
He’ll always be my Father- big and strong
I’ll never outgrow sitting on His knee
And whispering in His ear
My silly little pleas
That seems to be the greatest injustice done to me
I’ll never outgrow burying my head on His shoulders
And crying my heart out
I’ll never outgrow clasping my tiny hand in His big ones
I’ll never outgrow asking Him to carry me
When my tiny feet are too weary for one more step
And what's more- He never expects me to grow up too much
To outgrow being His little girl.
