My Help

Oh Lord, help me remember, at the close of another day
That you are right beside me, as in the dark I lay
I remember many moments
When I called upon your name
That you came running to me
And healed all my pain

When the earth was falling in
And I had no peace within
I could see your smiling face
And you offered your wonderful grace

Now I rest upon a rock
Where the storms of life
Still blow
But someone watches over me
Through the wind, rain and snow

The Master of the storms
Knows my middle name
He holds my hand in sunshine
He holds my hand in rain

Oft times I wonder
Where I would be without his love
It’s then I think of Calvary
And that gentle Dove

Every day when I open my eyes
Let me seek His face
I know in every situation
He will take my place

He took my place at Calvary
As he hung upon that tree
I’m so glad that his precious blood
covers over me.
