SAVE AS…

One of the enemy’s favorite tactics is to dredge up problems out of the past to torment you with. In Scripture satan is called the accuser of the brethren. He’s the one who tempts people to stumble and make mistakes, so he’s got plenty of room to talk!

When I have a file on my desk top I can rename it as something else if I want to. I can go into the file and change the contents. Then I go to “File” and “Save As” and give it a more suitable name. The original file will remain on the desktop along with the new one, and the original keeps its old name. That’s like the carnal nature, the old us, living alongside the new us. When we are SAVED, God goes into our spirits and re-FORMATS our lives to become a new creation in Christ. He calls us by His Name (II Chron. 7:14). He drags our sins down to the trash to be seen no more, but it’s the enemy satan who keeps trying to open our trash file to dig out dirt on us. We are still struggling with imperfections in this world, but in God’s eternal eyes that file has already been deleted, so those old sins and mistakes cannot be used against us again in the Court of Heaven. While satan points fingers at us to accuse us, God says: “I have SAVED that one AS a new creature in Christ Jesus, and you are nothing but a liar, devil.”
