I’ll reside with you……….

A family known to us once visited Germany accepting an invitation from their friends there. The mistress of that family exclaimed in ecstasy: “The flowers on either side of the road jumped joyfully gesturing that they warmly welcomed us with their brightly lit cherubic cheers and smiles on their faces. Our hearts too reverberated joy reciprocating the striking spectacle. I said in Shakespeare’s style, ‘Flowers the very thought of thee, Forgot I there is a heart within me.’ At the airport, a friend greeted us with a beautiful bouquet of flowers, which we carried along with us. Our hostess, with great care, took the bouquet from us, placed it in a vase filled with water and sprinkled some water over it. The following day at dawn, it was a spectacular scene since all the buds in the bouquet also had bloomed afresh. I stood stunned praising and remembering the glory of the Lord of lords who has created such wonders on this earth.”

God who created the flowers, amazingly clothes them with attractive colour costumes. However, most of them beautifully blossom in the misty morning and shrink at sunset. Yet He cares for them. How much more would He care for us who are made in His own image!

God desired that man should regain the holiness and eternal glory, which He had lost by his sins. Therefore, deciding to dwell with us, God sent His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to reveal His immeasurable love. Thereby He paved a way for man to escape the sufferings brought in by sin and also gave us salvation.

If the beauty of those flowers that have a transient lifetime could delight her heart so much, how much more would we be delighted to behold the glory of our Almighty God who created them all with His wonderful hands! Our heart rejoices and dances in praise of His glory. The glory of His love that constrained Him to send His Son as a sacrifice for mankind is indescribable. His love delights our hearts.

The Bible says that the Son of God, our Lord Jesus Christ exactly resembles God the Father. In other words, "God descended to earth bearing the name 'Jesus'." Do we not have to rejoice in a special way on the day when God Himself came to reside with us? Hence the celebration of Christmas.

"He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?" (Romans 8:32)

The above verse shows God's immense love for you and me.

Dear friend, commit yourself to love Him with all your heart, on this Christmas Day. Rejoice! For surely He will supply all your needs, fill you with His goodness and help you overcome your shortcomings.
