Then the LORD said, "There is a place near me where you may stand on a rock.
Ex33:21NIV
There is a place by me where you shall stand upon a rock.

There is a place in God where you and I shall stand upon a rock, immovable, constant, confident, with full assurance of faith in our God, knowing that He is at the helm of our affairs, sovereign, and ordaining our footsteps according to His original intention.

That place does not come overnight. It does not come by mistake,; you don’t stumble over it. It comes by a determined resolute focus and following hard after God. Every other thing becomes secondary. He becomes number one, the first port of call, the beginning and the end, our first love. This place comes little by little as we cultivate our intimacy with Him in prayer and worship and eating his word daily, desiring it more than our daily food. That place comes when we have learned to come time and time again to minister to the Lord, laying aside our wish list and worshipping and praising Him for who He is –the great I am, I Am that I Am, the Ruler of the Universe, who declares the end from the beginning, weighs the islands on his scales, measures the earth by the breadth of His hands, and puts the rivers and oceans in the hollow of His hands.

Do you want a place where you can stand on a rock? Then cultivate the presence of God. Come from time to time into His presence. Commune with Him continually in your car, as you walk along the way, on your bed, as you sit down. or even at work Involve Him in every matter. Pant after Him like a dear pants for water. Then He will bring you to that place by Him where you can stand upon a rock.

Know that you can grow even in this place of intimacy with God. God wants to be your friend with whom He can confide. Crave to grow in intimacy with God and He will show you how. His Spirit is there to help you.

See you in that place by Him
