My Pilot Be

When my ship of life crosses the bar, be with me O Lord, and my pilot be.

Guide my ship through the storms of life, that I might follow Thy star that leads to eternity.

As my ship of life cross the bar, O Lord my rudder be, guide my soul on it's journey to dwell with Thee.

Stand by me O Lord as my ship of life sails the open sea and the waves of sin try to devour me.

With Thy light shinning across the pages of time, light the pathway that leads to Thy side so that my soul might be free.

Blessed art thou O Lord, Thy mighty wings have sheltered me when my ship of life has been in danger of floundering on the shoals of a sinful sea.

My pilot be, O Lord I pray, guide me every step of the way, lest I stumble and fall prey to the sins that surround me day by day.

From the day of my birth to the day of my demise Thy love encouraged me to sail my ship of life to the lee of Thy throne.

My pilot be O Lord when my ship of life crosses the bar and earth I can no longer see.
