At The Appointed Time


The lighting splits the eastern sky
The Son of Man appears

With Golden crown and flashing sword
The appointed time is here

Into the battle He leads the charge
With thousands by His side

The defiant tremble at this sight
For there is no place to hide

No weapon formed against Him can prosper in their hands
The time of their evil is over in this land

His blood once shed to save them
They counted it for naught

Now it's their blood that will be shed
As one by one they're caught

The signs were all around them
But they didn't have a clue

They were blinded by their lust and greed
Now it's time to pay their due

The book is opened-the pages turned
But much to their dismay

Depart from me, I know you not
Are the final words they here Him say!
