KICK HIM OUT

This beautiful bold boy bearing a Halloween Day mask comes alive even after being put to death many times in the past like a phoenix. He haunts the hearts of infants, teens, students, teachers, youth, businessmen, old - people from all walks and stages of life. Many preachers and particularly the teachers advice, “Use this therapy it works or beat him with this broom he will flee.” Elders who have completed three fourths of their battle with him now exclaim in ecstasy and boast saying, “In our young age, we were never afraid of him as you do now. Gone are those golden days” forgetting how he had often put his icy hands on them, robbed a smile from them and having it converted to a sinister smile shed the same from his face. Many a times after buying the necessary paraphernalia they had run a rat race to retrieve the robbed smiles.

He kept troubling Ms. Wisdom all the time. She was confused but certain not to give him any room. Once while settling down to revise the science subject he stood saying, “You are a fool. You will not be able to complete this lesson today. Just relax! There is ample time for the examination. Why worry? Watch the movie that your cousin has hunted and brought for you shelling out a major share of his pocket money for you.” She got up, moved to another quiet spot and once again opened her notebook. He followed her faithfully resisting to withdraw fully sure that she is likely to fall into some trap set by him. She continued running trying to avoid him but he found opportunities to present himself again and again.

Finally, she a student turned back and said, “Hey! Whom shall I fear? Do you think I will be afraid of you? Jesus Christ has placed a crown of goodness in this New Year on my head and it reads ‘DO NOT BE AFRAID’. This promise appears three hundred and sixty five times in the Bible reminding me that God places a crown everyday on my head packed with new grace and mercies to get rid of you from my way. Beware! You cannot overpower me. If I lack wisdom, I will ask God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to me.

The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? My heart shall not fear. The Lord is my light and my salvation (Psalms 27:1) God is my refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore I will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea. (Psalms 46:1, 2) The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? Psalms 118:6”

On hearing her speak, the fear of appearing for an exam stood still, hung his head in shame and died.
