1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust."

This bold unequivocal, unashamed declaration and confession,’ 2 I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."
does not come easy. It comes from a deep, intimate knowledge of the Lord. It comes, not after a casual visitation of the Most High. It comes from a soul that is resident, cherishes God’s presence, revels in it. it comes from a saint who has been to the Holy of Holies past the crowd into oneness and audience with the King.
In His presence, there is liberty, confident assurance that He hears you and delight in you as you delight in Him.

This was the type of boldness the persecutors of the disciples saw and took notice that they had been with Jesus.

This confidence comes from having heard comforting, reassuring and prophetic word from the Lord such as ’Fear not, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand of rightness and justice. Fear not. I am your God. Fear not, I am your shield and your abundant compensation. Fear not! You are mine. I have called you by my name. When you go through the river, You will not drown. When you go through the fire, it will not burn you, like Shadrach;, Meshach; Abednego. You will not be harmed. You will not burn. You will come out smelling like rose. Have I not commanded you, be bold and be strong. Be not afraid. Be not dismayed. I am with you wherever you go. I will not leave you nor forsake you until the end of the age."

Let us pray:
You are the Almighty and I love and revel in your presence; to behold your beauty and inquire in your temple. How lovely is your dwelling place I enjoy your company, Lord.

You fill me with confidence.
Thank you for inviting me to come boldly to your throne of grace to obtain mercy and grace to help in time of need. Therefore I can say without any shadow of a doubt, You are my Rock, Refuge, Reason for living, fortress and will fear no evil. You are my God and in you I will trust. I will not fear what man can do to me. He who dwells in your presence will rest under the shadow of your protective wings. I am tattooed on the palm of Your hand. And shall a mother forget her sucking babe? Even if she does, you will not forget me. This is my confidence and I thank you for it. Alleluia!
