I May Sleep


I may sleep ere the night
To remain in your eternal light
And drifting to your far off realms
Where senses deem to overwhelms
The soul. But I know that you
My God, do guide me through
The deep and distant night
To keep me still within thy sight
And return at a bright new day
Your hand has guided all the way.
