God definitely meets us where we are. He knows that He will often be watching a movie with me. (I have a weakness for movies and books) So.......He makes sure that He catches my attention even then.

“Love is friendship on fire” The rest of the movie was not worth remembering, but that line just stayed with me. So of course, I had to talk to Jesus about that one.

Love isn’t really friendship on fire? Is it?

Of course, His answers always are given and then reinforced with scripture.

John 15
Love and Joy Perfected
9 “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. 10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. 11 “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. 12 This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. 14 You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. 15 No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. 17 These things I command you, that you love one another.

Well, Lord, when You put it that way, now I know what You mean. Now I know, You truly were trying to catch my attention.

Our Precious Lord Jesus

You feed me when i am hungry

You take care of me when i am sick

You wipe away my tears when i am sad

You give me gifts for all of my needs

You wash me when i am dirty

You call me friend

You laid down Your Life for me


Now that is what i call Love. Love truly is Friendship on Fire.

So now i choose to leave the love of the world and find the Love of God................
i will look for Love that can only be found by being a true friend.

Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, 26 that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, 27 that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.

Ezekiel 36:24 For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land. 25 Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. 26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. 28 Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your God. 29 I will deliver you from all your uncleannesses. I will call for the grain and multiply it, and bring no famine upon you. 30 And I will multiply the fruit of your trees and the increase of your fields, so that you need never again bear the reproach of famine among the nations.
