“And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.” (Isaiah 45:3)
At one time the Ark was taken from the nation of Israel (representing God’s people), and has not been seen since, but the Lord wanted it this way because He was showing us that the Christ or the Covenant made with man and in man was now hidden. IT IS HIDDEN IN FLESH! Truly He came in the flesh, but His own received Him not, and even today He is not received, so therefore He continues to remain hidden unless the Father reveals Him. The Word of God says that the Word was made flesh (John 1). The Father is revealing unto us that this Covenant is really back in its proper place, original place, and this place is in MAN! God never intended for the finished product to be a statue of wood overlaid with gold to represent His glory, for man has always been the glory of God. The first was only a shadow of that which is to come. God is now unveiling the secret of His holy presence and its location.
Wood represents humanity and gold is the divine nature of God. God gave His pattern to Moses on the Mount of what he was going to bring forth in this hour. Through Jesus Christ, the pattern Son gave us the understanding of God’s glory in man. Through Jesus God was restoring the glory unto man! God is not restoring the glory unto Himself, for God is God whether we recognize it or not, but it was the glory that was given to man that was lost; and the Father is restoring it through the Christ, the first-born from the dead.
God’s Glory - What is it?
The ARK of the Covenant represented God’s glory, or His presence. Wherever the Ark was it brought forth God’s power, whether in blessing for His people, or the wrath on their enemies. Its presence would destroy idol gods that stood in the place of Him, and thousands of men would be eradicated just by it being present; but there is a greater glory than this. God said in Isaiah that He did many marvelous things in the sight of Israel, but He then turned around and said to forget all that; for He was doing an even greater thing. Shall we not know it? The Father by His Spirit is revealing His secrets unto all those who love His appearing. They are not looking at any one manifestation, as to miss Him, but they look only for Him to appear through a people, however he desires! It is with these that God is revealing Himself.
What is the glory? First, let us look at what it is not. It is neither some aura, nor a halo over someone’s head, and it is not a feeling one gets when they are in the presence of God. These may constitute a MANIFESTATION of the glory, but it is not the GLORY! No, it is a PERSON, and that person is Jesus Christ. The scriptures tell us that Jesus Christ is the glory of God! How can a people walking after His nature be anything less?
The glory of God fell upon Saul (Paul) on his way to Damascus, and he was blinded from all things in the natural from that point on. The sunrays would blind us if we were to look directly into it, and so it is with the Spirit of God, the face of God! Paul looked directly into the Son and was transformed in his thinking. The glory of God is male and female, spirit and soul becoming one that the New Order, the Christ, the Manchild is produced. This is what Moses saw that day on the Mount! Moses saw the Genesis, the Beginning! We cannot have an end without a beginning. We cannot where we are going if we do not know where we have come from. Hallelujah!
Moses saw a light unlike any other. Why would God choose a bush to show Himself to Moses? A bush represents humanity; a people burning with the fire or presence of God! God was showing Moses that He wants to dwell in man (plural), and His presence shall not consume Him. The only thing consumed is the fleshly nature. An angel spoke out from the bush. Oh, yes there is a message that is being brought forth from a people in this hour that is pure and holy. So holy in fact that it is making men take off their shoes (their old walk) and stand in God’s holy presence. They are repenting from their wicked ways and are coming into the truth. My brethren, have you heard a message burning on the inside of you? Then you have experienced God’s glory! You have experienced your burning bush! Have you been blinded to the things of this world, so much so that you can say like Paul that the world is dead to you, and you are dead to the world? We have had our Damascus road that we have traveled, but when the glory of God’s person is fallen upon us how can we remain the same? Paul said once you behold Him, then you shall be changed into another man! This is why Saul was changed to Paul. How could his name or nature remain the same after hearing the Voice of the Son of God, and experiencing His glory? Once we have experienced the Christ this way we can also say as Paul, “It is no longer I that live, but the Christ lives instead (in place of) me.” We may know Him as Savior, and the Holy Spirit, but now we must know Him as Lord and King!
The term ‘tried by fire’ can best be exemplified in Daniel chapter 2. For this is a fire that is allowed to try us, it is man, that carnal nature that puts us in it. There were 3 men that went into the fire, but 4 were seen in the end. The number 3 denotes divine completion. This is why there were 3 representing spirit, soul and body. A complete redemption of man! Notice it was done by fire, and the Hebrew boys told the king that if God did not deliver them from the fire, He would surely deliver them through it. Even from the hand of the king (that carnal nature) who put us in the fire to test our faith in God. Hallelujah!
There are times that God does not want to deliver us FROM something, but while in it that He may receive the glory. He could have easily released those boys FROM the fiery furnace, but He knew that if He did the 4th man would not appear. The 4th man represents the Christ. The Christ comes forth when spirit, soul and body have become one! There has been a full redemption of man. There is one mind, one heart, and one Lord. It is at this point that the man of God comes forth. For God chooses WHILE in the furnace of affliction. Praise God! So fire changes the form, and this is why God chose the symbolization of fire to bring His man forth in every one of us. He knows what is best and will move according to His divine wisdom. “Fire is represented as the symbol of Jehovah’s presence and the instrument of His power, in the way of either approval or of destruction. There could not be a better symbol for Jehovah than this of fire, it being immaterial, mysterious, but visible, warming, cheering, comforting, but also terrible and consuming.” (Smith’s Bible Dictionary, pg. 193, Thomas Nelson and Sons, 1962)
We see God chose a perfect example of Himself in the form of fire. He is now making a people in His image and according to His likeness, and that is a people of fire. If you’ve ever looked at fire deeply you would see that there 2 different colors. While staying at a hotel, I sat in front of the fireplace to meditate, and God told me to focus only on the fire not the wood. He then told me to focus on the blue color of the fire at the very bottom. It was this part that was actually touching the wood. I saw one thing - it was very hot! So I began to picture the Hebrew boys and that fiery furnace that was turned up 7 times hotter than usual, and having the faith in God to step into it. My God! It was this very part of the fire, the hottest part, that was burning the wood to give it its wonderful aroma, and to give the beautiful picture of the flames that were presenting itself to those around it.
This part of the fire was the foundation for the transforming power of the fire. It was a powerful illustration, and I knew from that point on in order to bring forth the glory, the Christ, the transforming power of His glorious presence, I had to go through the fire. Glory to God, He is truly able to deliver from it - from our soulish ways, and He delivers through it - He comes through our mortal bodies. Hallelujah! There is a seed of Christ in every man; it is in this man that God begins His deliverance. We need to be delivered from OUR soul, that first woman that deceives us with that reasoning, and take on HIS SOUL.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were men of like passions as we, but they stood in allegiance to the God of Israel. Even if God would not deliver they said they would not bow down to no other god but THE GOD of heaven and earth. God is looking for such people today. For there is a day that shall burn as an oven. Who shall abide the coming of the Lord? Who shall be able to stand in that day? All those with a pure heart and a right spirit. God is a consuming fire! “Behold the Ark of the LORD of all the earth passeth over before you into Jordan.” (Joshua 3:11)
Jesus Christ has already has already gone before us and conquered death and He is the Covenant God has made with His people. He is Savior of ALL, and not just some. To step into the Jordan is death, to go through it is burial, and to come out on the other side is resurrection. Our job as God’s priesthood today is to stay in the Jordan until ALL has crossed over. We are intercessors today reconciling the world unto God with the Word of reconciliation. Glory to God! The priesthood had to know the signs of the times, and even today God requires that we also know what he is doing. We must know Him by His ways, not just His acts. We must bring to an open view what the FATHER is saying and doing beyond the veil.
