For one to transcend the veil of religion, flesh, and the human mind (the 5 senses), one must come to the realization that all is an temporary, except God. God is the first and the last, the beginning and the end. Our existence is found only in Him. Many of us today try to do in order to be, but we must be in order to do. Who we are within will dictate what we will do. It is imperative that we comprehend the need to be in our society today. Everyone is conforming to that which surrounds them, and never coming to the place of knowing their true being. The Latin statement, ’Know Thyself’ is pertinent here. For when one knows himself/herself then one has attained true enlightenment. Many of us have only experienced the keys of enlightenment, but never enter therein. A key is good and useful, but it cannot enlighten you. Only by going through the door, which is Jesus Christ, and experiencing what is beyond the door can one experience true self.

Many come to the door with great expectation, but do not venture further into depths unknown. In other words they do not want to go beyond the veil. The veil is the limited understanding of things beyond us. There is a path beyond this thinking that is pure Spirit, unlimited knowledge. It is to infinity and beyond! How many times as a child did we dream of what we wanted to be when we grew up? It is the same in the spirit realm. There comes a time when we truly understand our purpose in the earth, and actually become that person. I am not referring to fantasies or imaginations, but the true reality of our being. To come to this point we must be balanced in our thinking or understanding. Our true being is beyond our body, but we need the body to be the vehicle in which we carry out our purpose.

Many believe that when they are in the act of doing that they are being. This is not so. Doing is action, and does not denote our essence at all. We can do all day and never come to our true state of being. The word being is passive, and it symbolizes stillness, a knowing. There is no guesswork involved in one being his true self. It knows its capabilities in this world and the next. It knows that time or space does not hinder it because it does not have its origin in either one. Its origin is in the Source and that Source is God Creator of all things both visible and invisible. This knowing doesn’t just see what is before it but also that which is beyond it. For what is beyond is Truth, Eternal, and not that which is seen, temporal. The scriptures tell us, “That which is seen is temporal, but that which is unseen is eternal.” What profound wisdom!

When God speaks of the “beginning” He is speaking of the originating point of the subject in question. For example, it was “in the beginning” that He made the heavens and the earth. These things had their origin in Him, and they were His workmanship from the beginning of their creation. Since we were in God in the beginning then our origin is spirit, and our destiny is walking in that understanding, and manifesting the effects of the cause. The Cause is God, Creator, Spirit, and the effects are all of creation acting out its function and purpose in the earth. The effects of an earthquake are enormous, but it is the cause of the earthquake that interest scientists. For the cause of the earthquake begins deep within the core of the earth, and makes its way to the surface producing its deadly effects. “To understand the meaning of ‘in the beginning.’ It means what it says. If something has existed in a certain condition ‘from the beginning’ that means that from the time that it was formed or established, it was in that condition. Certainly, there is no difficulty in following that line of reasoning.” (Bill Britton)

We are and have always been in Spirit. It does matter what it appears to be, because the realm of appearance is not reality. It is only a shadow, and a shadow has no substance. We cannot refute that which is higher than us. Anything that has substance is reality. That is why Jesus could say that His meat (substance) was to do the will of Him that sent Him. This is very profound because it brings us to the place of pure intelligence or understanding.

There is a vast difference between pure intelligence and human intelligence. Pure intelligence is God’s wisdom; man’s intelligence is plain knowledge. That which can be attained through books and earthly study, whereas this wisdom comes from above. Solomon prayed and asked God for Wisdom above anything he could ask for.

Human knowledge can be challenged, and even disproved; but the knowledge of God, who is pure cannot. The Creator cannot be challenged by its creation, even though we try it everyday. The reason why man does this is because they lack pure intelligence. We have heard the term ‘higher intelligence.’ That’s what God is! Man acts emanate from its carnal mind, a mind that does not have the pure knowledge, the pure understanding that its mind is not greater, deeper, and higher than the mind of God.

Man is superior to all of creation, and rightly so. For man was made in the image and likeness of God, so its rightful position should be that of lords. God Himself exhorted man to have dominion over everything He made, but that dominion was tainted when man fell in his understanding of his true being. The ill-conceived idea of dominion today is not that which God desired from the beginning. The ability to rule is still present, but the comprehension of doing it wisely is not.

How does one attain to the understanding of the beginning? He must become one with the Source of that beginning. The Source is not a religion, person, organization or rituals. It is not even the Book we call the Bible, for the Bible was written by inspiration of the Spirit of God, who is before all things. In other words, it was by the impulse, the driving force of God Himself that men wrote these words. By that stimulus it became a powerful force in the universe. So the Source is God, and it is His aspiration to have His mind operating in and through a people daily.

Man is fascinated with the past and the future. This is why they concoct movies about dinosaurs, Jurassic Park (representing the past), and Star Trek (representing the future). They love the idea of leaving the present form of things to escape into that which is behind them or beyond them. This is not reality, it is illusion, and that illusion is what destroys our ability to function in our true being. We do these things because we have yet to figure out how to bring that which is beyond us to the present.

We have conditioned ourselves to be creatures of time and space. Inwardly we do this, but outwardly we aspire to travel to the stars, the moon and Mars. It takes more than money to build a rocket to go into realms unknown, it takes insight. It takes one to see beyond one’s self, and make that reality that that is seen within manifest without. It took someone to see a man on the moon before it could be accomplished. As a man thinks, so is he.

A man’s world outside of him is only as vast as the world within him. There is a saying, “He that is joined unto the Lord is one Spirit.” When one has attained oneness with God, their spirit has become one with His Spirit. Creation is subject to the Source! It must heed the commands and demands of its Creator. The world around a man that perceives on a higher level must bow to the spirit within him. “For He that is in me is greater than he that is in the world.”

Disease, sickness, poverty even death would cease if man was one with God again. If he operated in a higher realm than the one he is accustomed to. For many this is hard to believe because man has been in this condition for 6,000 years! That is a long duration for one to be in a certain consciousness, and then have God come along and reveal to us that the consciousness we operate in on a daily basis is an illusion!

One must have the Spirit of God to receive what I am saying right now, because it interferes with its present thinking. It actually goes against the whole idea of who it is. I say the word it because spirit has no gender. It is neither male nor female, bond nor free, Jew or Gentile. All are one in Christ Jesus. God is a Spirit, and that makes God it, not a he or a she. The fact that man teaches that God is a man so that male dominance will survive is eradicated by this revelation. The doctrines of men conceived this idea, and it is this idea along with many others that need to be annihilated. We must bring these thoughts under subjection to the mind of Christ, so that every thought is made pure, even as He is pure.

When the statement was made ‘be holy (pure) even as he is holy (pure),’ is not speaking about outward sins, it is speaking of the consciousness. The outer things that we do are dictated by the way we think. This is why we must think on those things that are above, or beyond our natural philosophy in order to bring our mind to a higher place.

At times Jesus would teach from a mountaintop because He was symbolizing His position in the earth. He had a body, but He was not His body. His body or the effects of it did not dictate to Him (the Spirit Man) what He would say or do on a daily basis. He said what He heard the Father say, and did what He saw the Father do. One who is walking in and by the Spirit accomplishes this. “He that walks after the flesh is flesh, but he that walks after the Spirit is spirit.” (Romans 8) To walk in the Spirit is for one to be in union with the Spirit or the Source. To walk by the Spirit is for one’s actions to denote its essence. Its fundamental nature is that which was, which is, and which is to come. That is the image and likeness of God manifested in and through man!

How does one manifest his true being? How does a person come to the place of going beyond the veil? It is one thing to know of your true essence, but quite another to act it out. It is like a man who has been to medical school, and knows his field of specialty, but fails to use his knowledge in the outside world. All of his knowledge and training is for naught because he will not manifest what he knows to those around him. “Faith without works is dead.”

To have faith in God, to know of God is one aspect, but to act out that faith, to know the One and only true God is another. Many religions of today teach about God, but they do not teach God! Let me explain: always learning about God and never coming to know Him is akin to spending our life studying the street sign that points to God without ever taking the road that leads to Him. As I stated before, God is a Spirit, but we treat Him as a theology that we fence into a circle. The circle of our imagination!

Look at God in the beginning and how He created all things. God’s wisdom is His imagination. He imaged His creation before He brought it into existence. Out of God’s profound imagination came forth all of creation, including humanity. We must imagine God out of our original formation, not the formation we exist in now. The key point here is our imagination keeps us from knowing God! God is not so much interested in our outer works being changed than He is in transforming our mind or the inner man. For if the mind is transformed then everything else will follow. Just as the body follows the brain, even so the soul will follow or obey the Spirit. The mind of the flesh must be changed into the mind that knows its place in God. Thoughts are like a mirror in which God created all things. One looking into a mirror sees that there are two images, but the two are really one.

The German Mystic, Jacob Boheme, who lived about 1577-1623, explained it something like this: “The Still Eternity of God, which is the nothingness of His freedom, is nowhere and in no space, but exists in the depths of your own soul. It is the source of everything, and yet it is nothing. Nothing is in this freedom except God. In this sea of nothingness there is nothing for God to search into except Himself. God actually mirrors Himself into existence by searching into His own mind to see what He will be; what He wants to be. The mind of God is His wisdom. The mind-mirror is the female aspect of His creative power. His wisdom is the Divine Sophia. She is His mind. (She is spoken of in Proverbs 8 & 9). This female aspect as with God’s creation does not actually create, the Father or Spirit principle creates, but Wisdom holds the images in her mind-mirror of what the Father can be. She stands symbolically before the Father as a mirror to show Him what He can be as He looks into His own mind.”Proverbs 9 says that Wisdom builds her a house. Out of God’s soul He builds Himself a MAN! ‘The Lord possessed me (wisdom) in the beginning of his way, before his works of old. I (wisdom) was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was. When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water. Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth: while as yet he had not made the earth, or the fields, or the highest part of the dust of the world. When he prepared, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth: when he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep: when he gave to the sea his decree. That the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth: then I was by him, as one brought up with him; and I was daily delight, rejoicing always before him.’ (Proverbs 8:22-30)

“Giving thanks unto the Father, which made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom oh his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: for by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: and he is before all things, and by him all things consist. (Col. 1:12-17)

“The Lord by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.” (Proverbs 3:19)

“Through wisdom is a house built: and by understanding it is established.” (Proverbs 24:3)
