I have toiled with my life. I have given my future my greatness and strength to men whom I thought loved me and would marry me. I was eighteen when I begun to entice men and boys alike with my beautiful body. These lust after me and were always chasing after me, little did I know that AIDS is real, and as I thought it was a saying to stop my passion for sex. These started when my parent separated and my little life left at the mercy of my poor mother. She her best but that was not enough, so I took to becoming a street girl I was impregnated but did not know whose that was for. I had no option than to abort it. Since then, I gained grounds in flirting. My name nose and spread like wild fine in the harmattan. I cheated on both affluence and influential males like magic. I thought I was gainfully earning, not knowing my reward was far beyond appreciation.

What has been my fate/ I have not only contracted the secret sickness, but have also infected numerous personalities. AIDS has really stained me and I feel very awful. When the honorable doctor revealed to me my status as an HIV/AIDS case, it was very difficult, impossibly difficult to hear it. But, my dear sympathizer, there was no other way I could take at my situation than this same way you are imagining me/. What can I say my fellow girl out there who would do well to accept me without reservation, and to the young men, while seeing me as no different human, but necessarily must ‘abstain’ from me. Save your life. Do not ever rush into areas where angles fear to tread. Had I known is struggling to be free but unable to be. I wish I were like you, but only death can console me now. I hope to see you all HIV foolproof before I finally give up the ghost.
