I would have been infected with AIDS by now, but I was saved. I do not know why it happened, but I know it is God’s own will. Many men have come to ask for my hand in marriage but our custom demands that elder sister marries before the younger and my sister was not, so the offer turned down. A rich business man promised that come what may, he will wait for me. I never thought MY own friend could betray me this way, until I came from town one day, I saw my man’s car parked outside the house. I could not wait to see him so I had to run. I was very happy but I opened the door to the big room to my dismay, I saw my bosom friend sitting on my so called man enjoying sex. I fainted and when I came back to my self, I was in bed. I decided never ever to leave every thing as it were and have nothing to do with the two love birds. Since then I never heard of them.

Ten months later, it was heard that the businessman had died of AIDS and that he was a big time womanizer. Within the same month it was heard, Nadia the traitor had come back home so lean that just by her sight, people who knew her confirmed she had contracted the fearful disease. People rejected her. and was left to her own flat. She died shortly after. This could be tracked to greed. This set my mined back to remember the occurrence. In fact it would pain me to have felt any pain then when I left him to my friend. I only thank God who made this happen for teaching me never to be greedy and to have patience in life and the world we live in.
