You need to read part 1 for continuity.
Plan & Pray to have a Happy New Year.
God plans and wants you to plan. However, God wants you not to lean on your own understanding, but trust him and commit everything into His hands, then He will make your plans succeed

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.Jer29:1

The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty Prov 21 :5
"Woe to the obstinate children," declares the LORD, "to those who carry out plans that are not mine,Isa30-:1
But the noble man makes noble plans, and by noble deeds he stands. Isa32:8

Let God take first place this New Year. Seek Him and His kingdom first as you make your plans.
May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed. Ps 20:4
The plans of the righteous are just, but the advice of the wicked is deceitful.Prov12:5
Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.Prov22:15
Make plans by seeking advice; if you wage war, obtain guidance. Prov 20:18

Plan, but depend on God.
Even when we plan, we cannot depend on ourselves. Our reliance must be on God. We must pray over our plans and commit them into God’s hands. Without Him we can do nothing.

In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps.Prov.16:9
Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.Prov16:3
Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails. Prov 19:21
To man belong the plans of the heart, but from the LORD comes the reply of the tongue. Prov16:1

5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.
. Prov 3:5-6

16 No king is saved by the size of his army;
no warrior escapes by his great strength.
17 A horse is a vain hope for deliverance;
despite all its great strength it cannot save.
18 But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him,
on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,
19 to deliver them from death
and keep them alive in famine.
20 We wait in hope for the LORD;
he is our help and our shield. Ps33:14-20

3A house is built by wisdom and becomes strong through good sense. 4Through knowledge its rooms are filled with all sorts of precious riches and valuables.Prov24:3-4 NLB

Let us pray
Lord may my plans proceed from your plans for me. May I not lean on my own understanding but in all my ways acknowledge You so that you can direct my steps this year.
