Running, hiding -
A scared and empty soul
Searching, yearning -
For love to make him whole
Grasping, clinging -
To things of mortal joy
Crying, pleading -
For answers to fill the void
Hearing, capturing -
The One who called his name
Believing, accepting -
The Lamb who bore his shame
Thanking, praising -
A life worth second chance
Dwelling, resting -
In shelter He freely grants
Learning, reforming -
A mind to be renewed
Surrendering, refining -
A vessel prepared to use
Beaming, flowing -
The Holy Spirit shining through
Sharing, teaching -
His past used as a tool
