Surpassing glory, excelling glory
Dwarfing the glory of the past;
Making it a weak might, a dark light.
This is the ministry of the Spirit,
the ministry of righteousness;
Overwhelming the ministry
of condemnation and death.

The old was engraved on tablets of stone,
But the new is engraved on living stones.
The old was reflected on the face of Moses,
But the new is reflected on the face of Jesus.
The old is dimmed by the New and Living Way,
granting us liberty, glorious liberty
and great boldness of speech.
The veil was taken away
as our sins were blotted away
The curtain was torn from top to bottom,
Taking us and changing us from glory to glory,
as we behold His lovely face in the holy of holies.
