Many people question why when my life gets so chaotic I appear so calm and together. My children, work, marriage, and more drama on top of drama, there is always a faith test. What many don’t know is that in the late, wee hours of the morning I cry. A drizzle begins deep down in my soul. Shortly thereafter, a downpour begins. All from assessing life and trying to figure out what is going on. There is such a need to know when all is haywire; “Am I being punished?” or “Am I being refined?”

I continue to hold on to my faith. All during the daytime hours, I am busy with my work, homework with the children, house chores, but for some reason in the quiet moments of the day, my soul begins to drizzle again. As I settle for the evening the overflow starts. The rain of my soul spills over and trickles my face. The warmth of my tears reminds me that while I am a spiritual being in earthen vessel, my heart is being nurtured. Arms everlasting I can only rely. I am reminded that Jesus the Christ is come that I might have a more abundant life.

Oh the tears, the rain of my soul is merely indication that my faith is being replenished. This release reminds me that I not only rule but reign with Jesus Christ. God the Father allowed me to through salvation. While being comforted by the Holy Spirit, the corner of my mouth began to curl into a smile at the thought of yes, I am still more than a conqueror…Glory to God, I am more than victorious; every tear a jewel in my crown. My character is being truly being refined, shaped and molded for His purpose.

So, as I go and carryon steadfast while life unravels before me with head held high to the One who keeps me, please don’t blame me for my strength. Don’t blame me for my endurance for it is not my fault, it is only because I have been chosen to let my light shine to encourage others in their own despair…blame it on the Reign.
