MARY’S CHRISTMAS

Mary’s Christmas was seemingly small
Taking place in a cattle stall
Her and Joseph and the Baby Christ
Finding shelter there that night

God’s appointed time had come
The virgin birth of heavens’ Son
Animals giving witness to
Their Creator in baby blue

Zacharias and Elizabeth, anxious to hear
Because His arrival was very near
Their son John would initiate the plan
Behold the Lamb, Behold the Lamb.

Wise men were following the star that night
That led them to the Light of Light
Herod the King necessitating the trip
That sent Joseph and Mary down to Egypt

God’s Deliverer, delivered from man
Fulfilling scripture for the great I Am
What a birthday, let’s light the candles
Put on the music, the Messiah by Handel

Creations’ celebration, the Christmas of Mary
Merry Christmas to all, to God be all Glory
Christ the Lord, true Meek and Mild
Behold Him the Lamb, the virgin born Child

Hallelujah! What a Saviour!
