Church Gone AWOL

The church is like an AWOL husband, one that has a commitment but plays with the commitment loosely. They have a wife and a whore. The church wants God but has gone whoring after other things. Their commitment is conditional; if you do this God, I will do that. I will serve you, but the world, because of the sin it offers is more pleasurable, they have left their first love.

Because the church has lost its commitment, they have practically given up their obligation that restricts freedom of action, dedication, entertainment or consignment for safe keeping of God’s word. They have begun to lose its pledge or bonding of itself to God. They were on a course for Heaven, committed to the winning of souls to Christ, morally dedicated to their cause. They undertook their calling, pledging to God, themselves and others that pledged to follow them as they followed Christ and has forgotten their oath. Their oath, their purpose, or God does not seem to matter anymore. The church has gone AWOl. They not longer war the war of faith. Instead they don’t have to bind themselves to perform or make themselves responsible for engaging in the battle or accepting the obligation, promise, guarantee, or affirming to tackle Satan head on.

The battle is on and in full force, but the Christian Warriors is lapse of gone AWOL, absent without leave. They are not present when they are needed, inattentive when they are in service, stay away when there is an assigned task to do, they withdraw when faced by opposition, they are else where, missing, lacking, non existent or they take leave to get around their purpose. They take leave without permission from church. The Pastor is their shepherd, but the shepherd; hardly ever know where their sheep is. There is no responsibility of stewardship whatsoever and the sheep do not care. They are lost in the battle with no covering, just loose. So many people have decided that they can read the Bible at home. God has said in his word, Hebrews 10:25, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. Man has been bewitched by, Satan into thinking that they can do it on their own. The church has become a laughing stock in the world. The world is laughing because the church is no longer committed to getting along with each other. They have abandoned God, and their families. Never have you heard of so many AWOL men leaving their wives and children. So many men do not commit to a family, just produce children everywhere. They have abandoned their purpose. They are gone, departed, left, hopeless, dead, completely enthralled or entranced by whatever carry you away from God.

God wants us to return to our first love. He wants us to go back, reappear, resurface, recur, revent, turn back, be restored, make reparation, make amends, and be reunited with him. That is; go back to God and recommit to him your soul, your life, body and spirit. Reappear to men that you have regained your senses, turned back from your wicked ways. Reconnect to the joy of your salvation, have your peace restored, and true love resurfacing in your heart.

God is your true love; all else is just an infatuation. We went whoring after other things, seeking and chasing for too long. The things we pursued after took us down a road called destruction, but before we were utterly destroyed, God showed forth his love and said; return unto me, and stop being persistent in tracking down those other things we run after. God is always right there to receive us back unto himself. The watchman is always there whether it is morning or night. All that is required is that you enquire, return and come. You can come dry and thirsty and he will give you living water that you may live. If you were hungry, he will fill your need and you will never hunger again. Just return to your first love. God will give you a heart to know him, to know that he is God, and he wants you to be his with you whole heart. Do not return to God without any other motive, other than to love and obey because anything else will not work, it will only bring a curse to you. Revelations 2:4-5, nevertheless I have somewhat against thee because thou have left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou are fallen, and repent, and do the first works, or else I will dome quickly and will remove the candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. Out of all the mercy God has shown, are we worthy of his love.

Leave the things that you went AWOL for, those things that drove you away from God in the first place. Those things you went whoring after that was not yours to desire. We do not want to be a prior generation that became rebellious, liars, children that will not hear the word of the Lord and take it to heart. They did not want the seers to see, nor prophets to prophesy the right things, but smooth things, yes prophesy deceit. There is no new thing under the sun. What has been is now and what’s now has already been. Just as the Israelites got out of the way, turned aside out of the path, caused the holy on of Israel to cease from before them. We are in like manner now. We despise the word, trust in oppression and perverseness, and want to stay that way.

We are like the breach that is ready to fall. Swelling out in a high wall. They broke suddenly and except God put them back together again, they perish. Yet God still says return unto me, and rest, shall you be saved in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength. If you had found love in the things you went looking after, your love would not have waxed cold, false witness would not be able to rise up against you, and your own children would be in subjection. As you will return unto God, then your natural children would return to you, as children now is much wiser than we were. Parents have gotten so far off the course. They do not rule their houses well and the children have taken control. They rule the parents, and parents are literally afraid in their own homes. Except they return to God, they home will continue to be out of order.

Our commitment to God, family and friends is to loose. Our relationships are so loose that we will walk away from them and do not give it a second thought. Marriage now has no commitment. A man will marry a woman, leave her home and be with another woman as if he has two or three wives. The commitment is so loose; he thinks that the wife is to be waiting like it is okay. The marriage vow was just to hold on to the woman legally. Commit yourself to the Lord and trust in him. These things you go through; with Christ your sanity will be maintained. God will keep your heart and mind in perfect peace if you lean on him, but rather than trust God, we withdraw and go AWOL. God has placed his oracles in our lives, and we reject those oracles and unbelief takes rank in our lives. This is why sin reign and we will not avoid profane and vain babblings and opposition of science falsely so called, which some have erred concerning the faith. We must commit to that which is righteous and when we are reviled against, do not revile again. We also must commit to the right judgment and not be threatened when we are suffering. Hold on to your commitment to love God, and do not fall to anything when you feel like going AWOL.

Be careful of what you are looking for, but do not go back, continue forward. If you obey, only blessings will continue. If you are a new creature, why look at old stuff, do not be entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Pray that while you have gone AWOL; that the Lord does not come. We have to prepare for the day of the Lord.
