What do you see as the abundant life? Many believe that it is material wealth, and position. Or reaching an unattainable goal. In St. John 10:10, "Jesus said, I come that you may have life and have it more abundantly."
Abundantly means full. Jesus wants us to have everything which we needs. He wants us to live above our means. He wants us to have good health. He also wants us to be good to our neighbors. But the truth is many of us fall short and sometimes it causes some to waver in their faith, and lose heart.
There is a price for abundance. Jesus Christ paid the price. He wasn't surrounded by material wealth, but his life consisted with trials, and tribulations. He suffered to bring salvation to us. His life was full because he was doing the will of the father.
God's will has to be the foremost thought of abundance. When we seek a spiritual change, you will see a physical change. "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and all of its righteousness, and all of these things shall be added unto you." (Matthew 6:33)
God has not forgotten any of those whom he loves. He is the same yesterday, and forever. But to achieve the abundance to make it through the next level in him, he has to tear down all of the walls which restrains us.
He never forgets the sacrifices we made in our giving,or time, prayers, and witnessing. He said, there is not anyone who gave up houses, land, or anything else who shall not be rewarded in this life time.
When we say we desire His Abundant Life, we must be willing to sacrifice everything, including our identity, thoughts, meditation, and ideas to accomplish his goal.
Because those who desire the abundant life,
They will find it in Christ. He is full to the utmost!
