The Sinister Tone of This Years Christmas Season

The Christmas season has taken on a sinister tone this year. Everywhere you turn someone is trying to silence the Christian and all that we stand for. This particular headline caught my eye. I sang all my babies to sleep each night with this beautiful song. There is nothing in this song that should be offensive to anyone. But with the attacks coming from all directions I suppose it should not have surprised me to see this. This type of discrimination is happening in schools across this nation. Our society seems to have accepted that if it is Christianity under attack it is ok.

School changes beloved Christmas carol to 'Cold in the Night' with all new lyrics

For a performance in its "winter program," a Wisconsin elementary school has changed the beloved Christmas carol "Silent Night," calling the song "Cold in the Night" and secularizing the lyrics. According to Liberty Counsel, a religious-liberty law firm representing a student's parent, kids who attend Ridgeway Elementary School in Dodgeville, Wis., will sing the following lyrics to the tune of "Silent Night":

"Cold in the night, no one in sight,
winter winds whirl and bite,
how I wish I were happy and warm,
safe with my family out of the storm".

These so called educated people ought to take head to the Scripture ...

"But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him to have a
heavy millstone hung around his neck, and to be drowned in the depth of the sea". Mat 18:6

This is only one example in a deluge of attacks on this Christmas season. It is not just an attack on the season but an all out assault on everything Christian.

I believe it will continue to get worse. We can already see and hear the war drums beating on the horizon. Christians from all over the globe are seeing their beliefs belittled, minimized, and in many countries considered a criminal offense.

In this country our kids are being taught from sea to shining sea to hate America and everything we have stood for. They are being taught that being a Christian is a dirty word. They are being taught that they must fit into the global agenda and be good little globalized citizens.

This all fits well into the enemy’s plans for his future short reign. If he has the hearts and minds of the youth then he can and is molding an entire generation to march to his ways and not God's ways.

We as born again Bible believing Christians need to stand on the Word of God now more than ever. It is His Word that gives us the power to stand firm.

For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 1Co 1:18

Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.
Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth (His Word), and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, Eph 6:13-14

Let me finish with this ... those that refuse to understand that it is the Judeo Christian values that have made this country the safe haven it used to be are playing with fire when they refuse to acknowledge that fact. Man left to his own devices without any moral compass is truly in trouble. The only true moral compass we have is The Word of God.
